I have had it pointed out to me that I have misspelled this word.....Not at 8 miles to the gallon, I haven't. I stand by my spelling.

Good for you. Dad used to get 6.
A friend once told me that folks who could only spell a word one way, just weren't trying.
I'm a VERY creative speller myself and I always appreciate that talent in others.
